Alex flew in from North Carolina to shake down a new car on Friday night at Irwindale Speedway, a car he had not seen before this weekend.  The Friday night test went very well and Alex was looking forward to Saturday's qualifying and twin 40 lap mains.  Alex on Saturday put the car #1 on the leader board during practice and was now ready to go and qualify and he placed 3rd fastest.  Alex started on the outside pole in the first race and was able to get the lead and he led up to lap 20 when he started feeling a problem with the car and faded back to a 4th place finish.  After the race the team discovered 2 issues that needed to be resolved before the next race. On the 2nd race Alex started in the 3rd position, but by the time he was able to take over the 2nd position at lap 25 he had no time to catch the leader, as he had already checked out.  Alex was extremely pleased to bring home two top 5 finishes in a brand new car. " You never know what to expect in a new car that has not been on the track before, being fastest in practice and qualifying 3rd and posting the fastest time in both races I felt  everything went better than expected. I want to thank my hard working crew for a great weekend" stated Alex.  Alex flew back to North Carolina and is looking forward to returning to Irwindale sometime in the near future.  We will keep you updated on the next event and new photos have been added.2009-06-08

Here is a picture of the diecast car of Alex that was given to him and his team at Christmastime.  Kyle had these made for the #51 KBM Championship team for all their  hard work and effort throughout the 2008 season. This is Kyle's first championship as a car owner.
